5 WordPress Plugins you can’t live without

Plugins are one of God’s gifts to people that don’t have the time, money or resources to get the functionality that they need on their website.  Without them the internet would be a duller place.  Today I wanted to talk about 5 plugins that anyone starting a website today cannot live without.

All in One SEO Pack – This plugin gives you supreme control over all things SEO on your website.  It covers everything from the modifications to the Page title, canonical link relationships, Post and Page Title Format and noindex capabilities on Categories, Archives and Tag Archives to name a couple of the features this plug-in provides.  It was created by Michael Torbert of Semper Fi Web Design and its one of those essential WordPress plugins that you cannot live without.  Click here to get it!

Google XML Sitemaps – This is a plugin that helps you index your WordPress website with search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo! and others.  Arne Brachhold created this plugin which has had many upgrades since it was created.  You can check it out here!

Contact Form 7 – As far as contact forms go they are pretty easy to create however if you want to download a plugin to deploy them on your website then this is an excellent option.  It doesn’t require a ton of knowledge to start reaping the benefits.  You can download it here!

WordPress Database Backup – Many people out there like to keep a copy of their website just in case and this is a great plugin that allows you to do just that.  You can either trigger a live backup and get your data right away or you can schedule a backup of data.  Another great thing about this plug-in is that you can save it to your server, download it to your computer or have it emailed to you.  Feel free to check out the plugin here.

Pretty Link – This is a plugin that can help in many ways from your needs for custom links used in social media and email marketing campaign to track success, to measuring your affiliate marketing efforts and just about any other link management need you have.  The plugin was developed by Blair Williams.  I personally run the professional version, named “Pretty Link Pro” but the free version is very useful to try out on your website so give it a shot.

These 5 WordPress Plugins that I just mentioned are great and practical for a number of reasons including the fact that they provide a lot of value, they are easy to use and they are essential to most people who run a WordPress website.  Check them out today!

Hi, thanks for the list. I have to agree with all of the above. All in One SEO Pack is a great little plugin for getting the basic components of seo right if used with permalink seo and mod rewrite.

Super cache is another plugin I always use!
