Recently i came across a wonderful little WordPress plugin that integrates WordPress with SalesForce CRM to collect leads from a web-based form on your WordPress website and bring them into SalesForce. For anyone involved in online marketing this means that you can integrate two great technologies to reap the benefits of both. So lets dig into this a little further and show you how you can get it up and running for your online business in no time at all.
Note: In this review, I am going to assume that you already have a SalesForce account.
Step 1: Install the WordPress-to-Lead plugin into your WordPress Website
Step 2: Go into your SalesForce account and navigate to Setup >> Company Profile >> Company Information and copy the SalesForce Organization ID (You’ll need this for the installation in WordPress) and navigate to Settings >> SalesForce in WordPress and paste the SalesForce Organization ID into the field shown below.
Step 3: Once you are finished filling in all the fields for error message handling and successful submission of leads to SalesForce the last thing that you will need to do is select the information you want to collect for your lead records in SalesForce and click the “Save”.
Step 4: Lastly insert the salesforce shortcode into the page you want the form to show on and click “Save” and you should be able to view the final form which should look similar to the form below.
And when its all said and done you’ll be able to collect leads from your WordPress website that will populate into your SalesForce CRM as you can see in the screenshot below.
